Intel launch the 9000 Series of processors.
Yesterday saw the launch of 3 new processors added to the Intel Coffee Lake S (or 9000 Series) range. We have one new processor in the i9, i7 and i5 ranges respectively.
The i9 9900k is being heavily pushed towards pc gamers with Intel claiming that the i9 9900k “is the best gaming processor in the world.”
9000 Series Specifications

All of the above processors use a soldered IHS (finally) over the poor thermal paste Intel have been using for some years now.
The above processors will be available on 19th October which is also the date that the review embargo lifts so we won’t know how good/bad these chips are until launch day.
Many motherboard manufacturers also released information on the new Intel Z390 chipset based motherboards to accompany the new 9000 series chips.
